155 Glendeer Circle Southeast suite lm3, Calgary, AB, T2H 2S8Following the Elantra, it's now the turn of its twin Kia, the Forte, to get a makeover. Moreover, the model takes the opportunity to change its name with the arrival of this new generation, for the sake of consistency. The arrival of this car is of crucial importance for the brand as it will somewhat take the place of the K5, which will not be available in our market next year.
Unsurprisingly, the new K4 comes with a very modern look. Its silhouette is characterized by straight lines and angular shapes. The lighting is slim and elongated, blending perfectly with the car's style. It's worth mentioning that this car was created under the supervision of Québécois Karim Habib, the design director at Kia.
What catches the most attention in the design of the Korean compact sedan is the "Fastback" rear end. It gives it a particularly futuristic and aggressive look. Let's just say that the K4 is likely to turn heads when it arrives on the market.
The first interior images of the car show us a forward-thinking and innovative cabin. The design of the steering wheel is particularly interesting, especially with the logo not perfectly centered. It's a detail that catches the eye, and I must say I like it. The presentation model also shows us a green interior, which is rather unusual for a mainstream car. It's hard to say if this finish will be available in the production version, but the result is very interesting.
We still don't know the details regarding the mechanics that will be available for the car in North America. Nevertheless, Kia remains a fairly conservative manufacturer in this regard. This leads us to believe that the K4 will essentially offer the same engines as those found under the hood of the Elantra.
The Kia K4 2025 will be fully unveiled in a North American premiere at the New York Auto Show in the coming days.
